I am using a HP Officejet 4500 with my MacBook Pro and trying to scan - Message says "no scan options". What should I do?

Stephen Prastman
Answer by Stephen Prastman

If you can't scan, then you will need to use the official support page to download the necessary driver/software.

The most compatible version where the driver can be installed is Mac OS X 10.8. Anything above that, requires additional steps: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04510394/

Can't get my HP printer to work. It was working fine until I was told to re-install my OS X Yosemite.

R
Answer by Robert Polubinski

According to the HP Support, the printer already supports MAC OS X Yosemite 10.10. You will have to use the Apple Software Update in order to install those drivers. Connect the printer then go to Apple Logo > Software Update.

To find more information about this, go to the HP Support page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c04510394&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4182&product=3752459&sw_lang=

Yes, you can check it on your page on software informer.com at http://users.software.informer.com/guest_100642896/
or you can check it in your SI Client... Click "Your Software" and scroll through to find "Apple Application Support"...

Go to Start > Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Region and Language > Administrative and click the Change system locale button below Language for non-Unicode programs. Select English from the drop-down list and click OK. If the language is not changing, reinstall iTunes.

I try to install an updated iTunes on my PC and during the download a message pops up: "The older version of Apple software cannot be removed from your computer. Call Tech Support". I tried taking off all the old versions and taking off C drive and still, no luck.

S
Answer by Sean Hill

Try using Revo Uninstaller. Even if it can't uninstall the application normally, it will force it to uninstall by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.

Revo will make sure that all components will be removed, even if it has to force them. When the process is over, download a new iTunes package and install it and it will work.

To be able to connect an Apple iPhone to PC, you will need a Bluetooth USB dongle device that can be attached to PC. However, you won't be able to transfer files, because of the copyright restrictions.

My iPhone is not working after the update: SIM is not recognized.

Murtuza
Answer by Murtuza

It is a problem with the mobile software... Just go to the outlet from where you bought it... Or the nearest i-Phone Outlets.... It is not a problem with the Update.

Answer by Sean Hill

You need to install iTunes for the laptop to detect and install the iPhone device. Download iTunes and install it and when the process is finished, plug the iPhone through the USB cable and wait for device installation. You can find it in the iTunes from where you can manage its file and update its firmware.
